Dear Editor

When New Labour came into power, our new MP Derek Wyatt (Sittingbourne & Sheppey) said he would be answerable to the electorate. Well here are some questions:

What are his reactions to some latest European Courts rulings?

  1. £60 million is to be given in compensation to ex homosexual servicemen and women who were booted out of the armed service for practising their sexual act. Would he agree with me that these people where aware of the rules and should not have joined? £60 million could have helped to save a lot of cancer victims.
  2. The same court now allows people to have sex in public and that many discos and nightclubs will soon be having live sex shows.
  3. This court is also suggesting that a child that has reached puberty should be allowed to have sex no matter what the age.
  4. The European Union wants to End British Common Law ie the end to the presumption of innocence, the end to the right to trial by jury, end of Habeas Corpus (the police will no longer have to bring you to court within 24 hours of your arrest. Would he agree with me that European Legal Area Project is the greatest threat to Britain’s most ancient and hallowed liberties? Liberties that its people have fought and died to protect over many generations.

Editor:

I realise that this letter is not one you normally print but local newspapers are the only medium where people with different views from the government and EU have a voice. As somebody that has worked with Young people for over 30 years I am concerned with falling standards of our behaviour and morality all in the name of Human rights. What of Human responsibility and our duty to our fellow human being.
