The Daily Mail normally gets under the skin of the Westminster Village pundits mainly because what they comment on is quite often what the majority of the people in this country think but this time they have got it wrong. I refer to their campaign to get a fair trial for the two British terrorists held in Guantanamo Bay Cuba by the US. The majority of people in the UK see the British Justice System and the European Courts as a joke designed to favour the criminal, create wealth for the judiciary and ignore the feelings of the victim.
As soon as these individuals took up arms against their country they forfeited the right to be a British Subject. I often wonder when these greedy lawyers etc start harping on about the rights of these terrorists did they ever consider the rights of their victims who were killed or maimed, before you say I do not know if they have done these action, their membership of Al-keheda makes them responsible.
So what will happen when these two are brought to so called British Justice:
1) The Trial will take years
2) Hundreds of solicitors, lawyers and their staff will be employed
3) It will cost millions of pounds all paid by legal aid
4) The terrorists will become celebrities, there families will become rich by selling their stories
5) Finally they will be set free so our government can broker a deal with the terrorist organisation.
6) The terrorist take HMG to the European Courts for infringing their human rights and are awarded million of pounds of compensation, they then become TV celebrities.
Impossible well the IRA managed it why not this mob.
So when the National Health Services has collapsed, when your elderly parent has to be put to sleep because there is no OAP homes for them, when your house has been burgled for the umpteenth time, when you live in fear of the next train crash, when you can not get served in your local shop because the only language you speak is English and I could go on all because of lack of funds. You can sleep soundly because you know that the money is being spent on the worthy cause of maintaining British Justice and remember the rights of the individual are paramount, that is unless you a Law abiding, Tax paying British Subject.
