Your criticism of the SBC publication “The Future of Swale” was on the whole justified but one thing I did like was where our new logo says “North Kent Coastal Borough” the word Swale as an area has no history so this at least gives it a place. KCC also sent round a newspaper, which I found quite interesting in particular the article on the Invicta Horse. It went to explain how the Saxons, Angels and Jutes came to Kent shortly after the Romans left around 400AD. The Angels then moved on to the rest of the Country and the land became known as the land of the Angels or Angel land (England). So the people of Kent can justifiably be called the 1st English. The Invicta Horse means unconquered even William the Conqueror had to negotiate with the people of Kent. So since the 5th Century no other nation has conquered the people of Kent. Why do I bring this to your attention simply because we are on the verge of enslavement by the forthcoming United States of Europe, no blood will be spilt and no one will be killed but we still be conquered by lies and cheats. Tony Blair and John Prescott are moving rapidly to a Federal Europe and have stated that if re-elected they will divide England into regions it will be by no coincidence that they match the European parliamentary constituencies. Many years ago Norman Tebbitt mention a map of the British Isles he had seen in the Euro Parliament, a map that divided the British Isles into regions with such names as Mecia etc the word England would be non existent. Funny enough one of the regions would be an area called Kent which would be 3 x the size of the existing Kent.
Interesting to note that the Farmers are now being blamed for Foot& Mouth, nothing to do with the fact that there is an election due and Tony Blair and his henchman donot want to get the blame for inefficient way they have handled the crisis. The writer who suggest that modern farming is to blame should realize that Foot and Mouth has been with us since time began, those countries with regular out breaks are those who have peasant farmers. Mind you if the European Union had not made running a slaughter house such a bureaucratic nightmare and expensive, animals would not have to be transported so far, therefore limiting the spread of the disease.
Mind you the latest tax imposed on us by the greedy EU Bureaucrats, where holiday makers have to pay a tax to have a holiday may benefit the people of Swale for it will be to expensive to travel abroad they will have to use our local facilities.
